Command Description

The Map and Export command allows you to use a “Layermap” file created with the Map Objects command, and export data directly to a file without needing it to go into TBC first. This allows for data structure changes for deliverables to 3rd parties without changing the integrity of your TBC project.

At the top of the command pane there is the ability to load and save an export file. Once you have populated the command you can save it in a file that can be reloaded in the future.

  • Entity selection - Click in the selection field and then in a graphic view select the lines required. Click Options button for additional selection options.
  • Check the box for Map dependent points with lines if you want to re-layer the “linked” points that make up a line if that line is selected during the mapping process. This will only effect VCL files exports.
  • Layermap file - Type in the directory path or use the Browse button to select the Layermap file to map the data against during export.
  • Output directory - Type in the directory path or use the Browse button to select the folder for the files to be written to.
  • Filename – enter a filename to be saved. If you require the file to go into a new folder under the main output directory, then add it in here. Example “New folder\Filename”. You can use the available placeholders by right clicking in the text box.
  • Exporter – select the required file type to be exported from the list. Press the Settings button to modify the output options for each export type.
