Command Description
The Extend Lines to Surface command allows you to select one or multiple lines and extend them on grade to intersect a surface or just extend to a set Elevation.

Selection:
- Click in the Lines field and then in a graphic view select the lines required. Click Options button for additional selection options.

Mode:
- Select a Target method to extend the lines too.
- Surface – select a surface to extend too.
- Elevation – enter an elevation to extend too.
- Select a Target method to extend the lines too.
- Enter a Maximum distance which can stop the lines from being extended to far away targets.
- Check the Delete existing lines box to create new lines using the layer and colour options and remove the old ones. If unchecked the original lines will just be extended.
- If deleting exiting lines:
- Select a layer or create a new one.
- Select a colour.
- Press the Apply button to extend the lines.
- Press the Close button to end the command.
Note: This command only works on Linestring
