Explode Text

Command Description

The Explode Text command enables you to explode any Text item into linework. This allows for better presentation and export for some 3rd party packages.

• Click in the Select Text selection field and then in a graphic view select the data you want to explode. Click Options button for additional selection options.
• Delete original text – If checked this will delete the source text after exploding.
• Change text layer – If checked this will place the linework onto a new layer.
• Change text colour – If checked this will change the colour of the linework.
• Select stroke font – If checked you can choose and font style to use when creating the linework.
• Change text height – If checked this will change the height of the linework.
• Change text weight – If checked this will change the line weight.
• Do either of the following:
  • Click Apply to explode the text and keep the Explode Text command pane open.
  • Click Close to end and close the Explode Text command pane.
