Command Description
The Find and Replace Text command allows you to perform a simple search and replace of text objects and add a prefix and/or suffix to existing text.
- Click in the Text selection field and then in a graphic view select the data you want to search. Click Options button for additional selection options.
- If you check the box for Search and Replace:
- Enter characters in the Search text field that act as the wildcard for searching the selected text objects.
- Enter characters in the Replacement text field that will be substituted for any characters found with the above search.
- If you check the box for Prefix/Suffix:
- Enter characters in the Prefix field that are to be added to the start of all selected text objects.
- Enter characters in the Suffix field that are to be added to the end of all selected text objects.
Note: If both boxes are checked then the search and replace operation happens first.
- Do either of the following:
- Click Apply to perform the operation and keep the Find and Replace Text command pane open.
- Click Close to end and close the Find and Replace Text command pane.
